Settlement Study

For the study tour we visited Mirya, Ratnagiri. The tour was one week long. For the studio the batch was divided into five groups: 1)Economy 2)Settlement 3)Housing 4)Cultural Objects 5)Construction. Every group had a task to work on. I was in the Cultural Objects group. The task given to us was to study the culture, daily routines, activities, festivals etc.

So we entered the village, talked with the villagers, gathered few information and made some drawings with the help of those information. The larger idea was to study how the culture, economy and land affect the architectural structure there and vice versa.
