Performative Infrastructure

Our body performs differently in different spaces. This module was focused on studying these body gestures. Every individual had to photograph gestures on a site and then make a short video showing the gestures. The body itself can be the site.

I had chosen our college's workshop as the site. The process of shaping a raw piece of material into a shape we had in our mind and the hand actions performed in the process were my gestures.

Later a claustrophobic space was created where everyone's photos were pinned and phones were placed with the videos on. It created an entirely different space with an unique experience.
